Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 24107 – 1334
Greetings, Fans, Friends, Fiends, Foes, Foundlings, Fruitcakes, and Other Multitudinous and Diverse Wonders who visit here,
Here’s the haps:
Yes, folks, I have completed another 365 days around the sun, which means one year I’ve won. Sixty-six revolutions and I feel blessed and happy. Is everything suddenly all perfect? No, there is still as much going on in life today as there was yesterday, but let me tell you, it could be a whole lot worse. I feel blessed and highly favored of the Lord and grateful. We live in an often ungrateful and thankless society that is selfish and self-centered, and I don’t want to be one of those people. I try not to be, although I am human and fail pretty miserably at times. The quote on my page-a-day calendar for today says,
And life is what we make it. Always has has been, always will be.
Grandma Moses
To let you share in my joy, I have artisanally curated the following collection of sixteen of my best age-related memes. (If that’s not enough, you can check out last year’s collection here.)

Thank you beary much.
Happiest of birthdays to ya, Herb, my friend. May your recognition of the blessedness and highly favoredness of His children bring you His Shalom! ~Ed.
Thank you so much. Blessings on you as well, my friend.
Happy birthday, Herb! Thanks for the morning funnies. I laughed most at the “immune to everything” towel one and going to the bathroom without your phone like your ancestors. The ones about kids these days and phones made me sad. I definitely heard the bounce of the red ball. My son got one of those for Christmas. 🙂
Thank you. Those red dodgeballs were no joke.
Happy 66th to you and 73rd today to me as well. Have a very most blessed day ~ 🥳🎉🎂💕
Hey! I forgot that little fact. Happy Birthday, my friend.
Happy Birthday, Herb!

Thanks a lot!
I spent a long time savoring your post. I noticed I had commented on a very funny comic strip in last year’s post but mostly wondered why I have not been using the line “I’m aging like a fine banana.” This time I wrote it down! Grandma Moses was right. I had my share of childhood diseases and when someone catches me eating a grape I dropped on the floor, I always claim immunity. When the grandkids complain that the water filter is so many days overdue for a change according to the refrigerator, I explain how I used to drink water out of a hose. That will work until I get sick. The rotating towel dispenser you featured is a great example of an innovative health feature gone wrong. Mostly, Happy Birthday, Herb. I loved the party today!
Thanks for stopping at the party! Yes, I have to work, “I’m aging like a fine banana,” into more conversations this year.
Well done. You’re aging well.
Well, thank you ever so much! I appreciate it.
Happy Birthday, young fellow! (I get to say that because I am almost a whole decade older than you!)
Thank you so much, ma’am.
Happy birthday Herb! I have been trying out 66 myself for the past several months and I can give it my endorsement. At least it’s the best of what’s available.
Loved the memes. Yes, life has not been the same since they took the vent windows out of cars. But I must be older than the one who did the meme, because “vent” was never on the heater control. It was a knob you pulled out to get blasted by actual fresh outside air.
Not sure how I ended in your spam filter’s poor grades again. Happy birthday?
I tried half a dozen times to leave a comment the other day. But really, happy diurnal revolution.
Tony, I’m so sorry that happened. Thanks for the well-wishes and for stopping by. I always appreciate it.
Happy Birthday. I’m singing it now. If you can’t hear it, check your hearing aid.
Ohh my, I missed it. I have been out of town for a family emergency and I’m just now catching up. You’ll just have to sing it again.🤪
Many happy returns of the day, Herb! And thank you for sharing all those GIFs and images, they brought back a flood of nostalgia 😊
Yay! Welcome to my blog and yes, it’s always nice to know I could make someone smile, even for a minute or two.
Thanks Herb. Please check out my blog and drop comments on what you like.
