Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 24020 – 1328
Greetings to all of you, Dear Readers,
Here’s the haps:
It is a day in the United States of America to honor those who have served in the military in some capacity. All gave some, but some gave all. It’s important to remember that if the soldier has a family, they served and sacrificed as well.
Why do we not use an apostrophe in the name Veterans Day?
Why ‘Veterans Day’ Doesn’t Use an Apostrophe | Military.com
Veterans Day, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs, isn’t spelled with an apostrophe before or after the “s,” because it’s not a day that belongs to veterans. It’s a day to honor them.

Happy Veterans Day to you too, Herb. Thanks for the explanation about the apostrophe. I’ve wondered that about Mother’s Day and Valentines Day too. (Which should have the ‘?) Anyway, a fine tribute, and those last two pics are very funny!
Thanks for stopping by. I had several funny pictures but those two were my favorites, especially the cat.

You know everything about words down to every last apostrophe, Herb. You found a good day to post.
Thank you. I’ll be the “Comeback Kid” of blogging before too long. (I hope)
