Bootleg Recording and A Smart Blog

Bootleg Recording and A Smart Blog

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22463 – 854:

Here’s the haps:

I had planned on doing a humorous piece about how mattsnyder1970 jumped the gun and made a recording of my Country & Western song, Celery Country. He did it in his post For The Love Of Celery. He did it A Capella and it was really quite the thing to hear. I am going to refer to it as a bootleg recording because he didn’t exactly have all the permissions in place when he did it. His wife said it was the worst country song ever, although Matt assures me she was referring to his singing. I know it wasn’t perfect because Jacqui Murray, educator, book author, and all-around cool person over at Word Dreams blog, said I didn’t have a train in it. * Heavy Sigh * I will try and do better next time.

I seldom, I think maybe one time, reblog anything. I normally post my own stuff. I would like to ask you to please consider visiting Dumbest Blogger’s post called Bible Stories #8; Don’t Be One Of The Cool Kids. It’s not humorous, really, and it’s not dumb, but it is important.

Very true or I would have been mad. This way we all get a little publicity and have a little harmless fun.

I’ve come to realize all great country songs don’t have a train, Herb. Arlington, the Hank Williams drinking songs. I withdraw my earlier… comment.

      lol. Withdrawal accepted.

I know some people are fascinated with trains. I love trains too. Even though NJ transit is quite on the ugly side, I still enjoy the ride before the pandemic.

I like them as well. There’s a kind of mystique associated with them.
