Greetings, Dear Readers,
Here’s the haps:
I ran across this clip the other day, and even though it’s from 1978, I felt that it still made some very valid points about our dependence on technology. The film was inspired by the 1977 blackout of New York City, when power to the entire city was out for around 25 hours. Looting, arson, and chaos reigned. The subject is deep and if not outright scary, at least sobering. Which is why the clip is followed by a lighter look at the subject. The last couple of memes are my favorites, the one just for the truth of it, and the last one because it is relatable, as I have a hard time playing some games on my phone because my fingers are so big. At any rate, I have personally and artisanally crafted and curated this selection of memes and cartoons for your perusal and, hopefully, enjoyment.
