Ah, the good old Western Electric telephone. Many of those were made in Indianapolis.
They were great, solid stuff. It was pretty rare for me to slam the phone down on somebody, though.
I liked the cardboard box meme. We often had a lot of cardboard boxes (we moved every few years). I would let the kids use as many as they wanted. They liked the big wardrobe boxes best – fort making material.
Oh, yeah! Refrigerator boxes were king, though.
I can relate to most of these. Thank you for taking me down memory lane, realizing how old I am, and most of all thank you for the laughs 😊
