Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23745 – 1232
Greetings, Salutations, and Hi There!
Here’s The Haps:
As you can see, the dates already don’t jibe but that’s okay. Today’s Herbdate is a few days later than the event but I got on here to start typing this post as soon as was possible. Yes, dear readers, I have been on this earth 2,051,308,800 seconds, 34,188,480 minutes, 569,808 hours, 23,742 days, 780 months, or 65 years. Youngest daughter brought youngest granddaughter (six weeks old and her other two, of course) to visit. I overheard her saying in a tone of disbelief to Mrs. Herb, “Is he really 65 years old?” I don’t believe it, either. I was setting up my Medicare and could not imagine that I was doing it for myself and not a parent or grandparent. Then I realized, I’m the parent/grandparent.

I look in the mirror, expecting to see a handsome young buck and instead there’s this geezer looking back at me! “Who are you and how did you trap me in this old man’s body‽‽‽” I feel like the victim of a supervillain from the original (only real) Batman ’66 series, “You dastardly fiend!”
But, honestly, I feel pretty good. I don’t feel any different than I did on day 23,741. I will try to post more but I may wind up posting a lot of memes. I have 14 posts in my “drafts” folder but I am not nearly as clever as Amusives, who was able to get all 8 of her drafts handled in one post. At any rate I feel happy, healthy, and blessed. Here are a dozen memes I have curated for your perusal that have to do with where I’m at this evening:

There is so much truth in these memes.
lol, yes ma’am!
Yes, reading cereal boxes!! I am just a few months ahead of you and have experienced the same defect in my mirror at home. I wonder what it means?
It’s got to be a conspiracy! Loved reading cereal boxes.
Happy Birthday Herb! How wonderful that you got to spend time with your family!
Big thanks for the memes. Hard to pick which one I like best, but I think I will ‘borrow’ the cereal box one! The Car Guy and I look a lot like that each morning, but we are looking at our iPads and comparing notes on what we are seeing!
Big thanks for the link to my blog. I appreciate it. Also big thanks for each and every comment you have left on my blog. I often wish you could read my posts before I publish them and add what I have missed!
Thanks for the kind wishes. Your posts are great just as they are and it isn’t always easy to think of a comment.
You have probably figured out I am ‘Anonymous’. I forgot to click the ‘W’ logo before I pressed the ‘go button’…
I hate it when that happens.
People can successfully use their phones while eating?
Apparently, lol.
Congratulations, Herb. Just getting to 65 is a major accomplishment. All the memes are wonderful but I laughed hardest at the comic answer to the “How come you never do that?” question!
That one cracked me up the first time I saw it.
Well congratualtions on your milestone. Keep laughing. Well until yor jounts start to ache. 🤣😎🙃
If I use my joints aching as a measurement we’re in sorry shape, lol.🤣😉
Well then, laugh because your joints ache. 🤣😎🙃
😂😂😂Hahahaha! Ouch! 😬
Just now seeing the big change to your page. I can’t afford a paid theme. Re age – this is a bit over 2 weeks old:

Thanks so much!
There’s nowhere to go but up.
😂🤣 Definitely better than the alternative! 😉
In library land, you hit the big time when you were deemed capable enough to file below the rod in that Original search engine. Otherwise you filed above the rod so your filing was easier to check. Some of less brighter bulbs actually expected to find the literal books in the card catalog rather than the cards with info about the book. I’m not making any of this up.
Happy belated birthday. The memes are terrific. And I have heard many times now that people who are older don’t feel that old on the inside, and isn’t that a wonderful thing? It shows that even though your body is aging, your mind is still young at heart and sharp–thank goodness. Then again, the alternative is that you’re old and have lost your mind but don’t know it yet. 😛 Fortunately, I don’t think that’s what’s happening here. 🙂 Again, happy birthday, Herb! And many more to come!
😂🤣🤣😂 Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing. We definitely need more humor in the world.
Yes, ma’am. Thank you for stopping by!
