Happy New Year

Here’s The Haps:

Greetings all! I know for many of my readers it’s already the year 2025 and in my time zone it will be soon. Thanks to all of you for stopping by and visiting, leaving likes and comments, and the many lurkers out there, as well. I sure appreciate your visits.

As some of you are aware I have a couple of my younger grandchildren living with me along with their parent, due to no fault of their own. It has been fun and interesting but it all takes up time. But, here’s a little bit of what makes it worthwhile:

Alex has a desk kind of kitty corner from mine. I can hear when he is drawing or coloring.
Conversation between Alex and Grandpa after many sounds of coloring and drawing:
“Grandpa, what’s your real name?”
“Herbert.”
“Thanks.”
He hasn’t asked how to spell it but I can hear him mumbling, “Huh! Huh! that’s an ‘h’ sound. er, her, er, that’s an ‘r’ sound. Buh, buh, ‘b!’ that’s a ‘b!’” and so on. Soon I was presented with this:

“Here’s a picture,” He says, “Of Grandpa when Alex gives him a hug!” “Will you sign it for me?” “Sure!”

And there it hangs on the wall of my multi-purpose, occasional pseudo-man-cav-ish room. I’m aware he didn’t put any vowels in but I have no intention of any corrections. I know that someone just paid 6 million dollars for a banana duct taped to a wall because it’s art but there’s not enough money in the world to buy this piece.

Anyway, that’s where my time goes. Now here’s my favorite New Year’s song! I hope you all are well in the coming year.
