Here’s the haps:

Hi all,

Mrs. herb and I went out of town for a few days to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. I’m going to try to catch up on everybody’s blogs but I may miss a few of you, especially those of you who are so prolific it’s hard to keep up with you in the first place.

We spent some time in Durango, Colorado, a beautiful little mountain town. I’ll be posting more about it in a couple of days, after my wife talks to her in-person friends who otherwise would say, “Oh, I read about your trip on the blog…” Which kind of deflates the telling of it.

    Best Co. skiing I ever had was in Durango. Momo and I were in Colorado Springs last week enjoying the cool weather and grand kids. Went to Garden of The Gods and was deeply impressed with the job the city does with the park. Glad you are back in the saddle again.

    Happy [now belated] anniversary to you both! So sweet of you to allow your wife to tell the stories to her friends before you blog about it. Also nice that her friends read your blog! Double win! But the former is one of the many reasons you and your wife are still going strong, I’m sure.
