Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23420 – 1195
Dear Readers,
Every morning I do what my Rice Krispies tell me to do. And the fact that my body cracks like a glow stick every time I move and yet doesn’t actually glow is a big disappointment. Hopefully, my announcement will have the opposite effect.
Here’s The Haps:
Ah yes, it is that time of year when we in the Northern Hemisphere unkink the garden hose, watch the little finches and wrens return, the leaves on the trees begin to bud, and soon the crabapple trees will begin to bloom. Spring is in the air. And I welcome it, allergens and all.
I was at the blog of mystery author D. B. McNicol the other day and she announced that she is once again doing the Blogging A – Z Challenge this year. I have been following her blogs for a while and know she has a lot going on in life, just as we all do. I liked her idea of using a random word generator but I will adapt my own sort of plan thingy. With time and energy constraints being what they are and will be I think this might be a good chance to get back into the rhythm of regular blogging again. Especially since I never completed NaBloPoMo and never started Bloganuary this turn.
So, these are my tentative lists which I generated using the random word generator at Capitalize My Title. The first list is words that were listed as “common” and the second was using the whole dictionary.

LOL
Those are some great words! 😄
Thanks. I’m hoping to have a little fun.
Herb, for real help with real titles for your blog posts go ahead and install BARD, The Google artificial intelligence thing….and copy and paste your blog post into BARD and ask for title suggestions and you will get plenty. Here is what I always put into BASRD when I am looking for a title to a blog post — “write several suggestons for titles to the following blog post: (This is where you copy and paste your blog post.) BARD WILL DO THE REST.
Thanks, John. I appreciate it but actually I don’t use any program for titles, just whatever strikes my fancy. I am not really concerned about SEO or anything. I only use that program for official things unrelated to this blog.
With your sense of humor and those words, this could be an … unusual … AtoZ. I’ll be checking on you, Herb.
lol, thank you kindly ma’am. I hope to live up to your vote of confidence.
I want to try the A-Z Challenge… but it scares the p-waddlin’ outa me! Maybe next year.
I think you’d be great at it. You don’t have to stick to any one theme so you could do what you already do with albums and one-word challenges.
I don’t sign up on any official site, either.
How lucky you are to be entering Spring. We lit our first fire yesterday!
Well, maybe you could switch hemispheres every few months.
I will share this with my husband. LOL. Have a great day.
😁
I did A-to-Z so many times so many ways already…Plus unlike you I don’t really have readers anymore and my readers really only visited when I was visiting them, and I just don’t see the point…If you like what you read why do you need them to read you, too?
I don’t visit people because they visited me, either, but I do read a lot of blogs. You have one that I check in on a regular basis even though I don’t always leave a comment. I don’t do all the SEO stuff and try to get more readers. I don’t try to monetize it and I do it for my own pleasure and in the hopes that my readers will get a little pleasure from what I do.
If the word Xyloidine inspires a post, I definitely want to read it.
I’m starting to really feel this challenge, lol. I hope that post isn’t too explosive, though.
Even more challenging would be to write one paragraph that contains all of those words!
That would definitely be a challenge. Yikes!
Interesting words. I don’t even know what they mean. 🤣😎🙃
Neither do I on a lot of them.😂😂😁
There are so many words in that second column that I haven’t even heard of! Good luck, Herb! 😛
Lol, thanks. I have already had second thoughts on a number of the words and will probably switch at least some of them. Thanks for stopping by.
I love “misinspired” – this has happened to me many times. Being actually inspired has happened to me far less frequently. And I would definitely read a post on quirky chirking!
lol! We’lll see how I do…
