Here’s The Haps:
Greetings all, I still have a lot going on but I had to share this picture with you. My plan is that over the next couple of days, I will post some Terrible Poetry for you as well. Purposefully, hopefully very bad. Anyway, this picture just made me laugh. It’s great having a dog that’s good with kids. It’s also great when Mrs. Herb says, “I’m glad I wash that thing all the time,” referring to the dog bed the toddler absconded with.
Hey-Boy is what poodle people refer to as a Royal Standard. He is 31 inches high and weighs 80 pounds. He is able to behave himself well at the door if he is commanded to but when an unwanted salesperson (or con man casing the joint) comes to the door he makes a very imposing presentation. Loud and unruly and showing his teeth. I make a show of holding him back while explaining I don’t need windows, siding, solar panels, or whatever else. He is daughter TNT’s dog first and foremost but then he belongs to any and all babies and kids.
The picture that cracked me up was one I took this morning. Toddler Grandson #1 was lying all over the dog’s bed and the dog was lying on the floor, resting his chin on the bed and looking so forlorn it was laughable.

I know a lot of people enjoy looking at pictures like this and here are a few from over the years with Hey-Boy:

I like comments and try to respond to them all if I can:
