Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23088 – 1113
Here’s the haps:
So, to be honest, Tunisia doesn’t hold a lot of interest to me at all plus the U.S. State Department website says it’s not really a safe place to go. The big tourist resorts are probably okay and using tour guides are often a good thing but the risk of terrorist attacks is pretty high. There is just one thing I want to see there.
The North Africa American Cemetery. A cemetery, Herb? Long-time readers and even many newer ones will remember the story of how I was named after my Dad’s favorite brother. In fact, I told it most recently last year during the A – Z challenge, here. The soldiers that were lost at sea in the government-covered-up Rohna Disaster are memorialized on a wall there. My uncle’s name is there.
Likelihood of this happening within the next year: 0%
Likelihood of this happening in my lifetime (Lord willing, of course): 15%
Likelihood of running into someone I know or met on the Internet: ??%

This was an interesting choice. Turkey? Timbuktu? Hmmm…
Well I based it solely on the cemetery. I know a missionary couple in Turkey.
Wouldn’t it be terrific if you could manage to get there and honor your uncle!
As we are well aware, you never know what’s going to happen, so…
I hope you get to Tunisia.
Thank you very much.
If I ever get to Tunisia I will look for your uncle’s name.
That would be so cool. I’d appreciate it.
We once went to Tunisia – not incidentally an experience I would choose to repeat – and managed to purchase a slab of nougat from a market that was the size of a continent!
That nougat sounds great. I only have the one desire for visiting there, unlike the UK where I have a number of things I want to do.
Nougat is a big draw though!
Well, that is true…
What a perfect place to go when a single nesia is not enough but threenesia would be overkill.
😂😂🤦♂️🤣🤣
