I Just Went Ahead And Swiped It

I Just Went Ahead And Swiped It

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22584 – 897

Here’s the haps:

I was over at Cherie White’s blog, Chateau Cherie, and discovered this beautiful little gem. If you are not familiar with her work (I did feature her last year on an Award Winning Wednesday, here ) she blogs and writes books and her primary purpose in life is to expose bullies and bullying for what they are and to help victims of bullying. She speaks from her own, sometimes very tragic and sad, experiences in life with conviction and strength. She does admirable work and is also very approachable personally. If you are being bullied or know of someone being bullied and want to help or even if you are a bully and want to change your ways, she is an excellent resource.

Anyway, I was at her post, Nothing But the Truth and saw this and, thought, to quote Zaphod Beeblebrox, “That really is truly amazing. That is so amazingly amazing I think I’d like to steal it.” And so I did.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

Hurrah to that! Maybe ‘Race matters only to racists, the rest of us care about the rest of us.’ Such a shame though that as a species we have to make ourselves blind to race when really we should be able to celebrate our amazing diversity. Just away to check on Cherie’s blog – thanks for flagging it Herb 🙂

One’s character seems to be the least thing for society today. As long as you’re convenient for someone’s agenda, anything goes. Then of course when you aren’t anymore…

Yes, sadly, that seems to be the prevailing attitude.
