Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22367 – 830:
Here’s the haps:
Our son-in-law’s sister needed him and my daughter to come to help her as soon as possible. She is a young woman and her young (in his twenties) husband passed away. With three small children, she has a lot of needs. He had a heart condition. Both son-in-law’s family and our family will jump to help someone in need and since it was his sister, even more so. They have to travel over 800 miles to get there. It was decided that they would take the two older kids (15 and 11) along to help and we would keep the 18-month-old. So for the next week or so my wife and daughter and I will be chasing a toddler who is literally almost always running. He seldom walks anywhere for any reason. Whenever he sees me his eyes light up and he says, “BUMPAW!” Yes, he really is that cute. He is also as exhausting as he is cute.
This is also the week that my other daughter (I have 3 bio-daughters) has her five-year-old. She and her husband take good care of him so we don’t have any added responsibility but it’s just getting the two cousins together that will generate the stuff that exhaustion is made of.
So, visiting and thoroughly reading each blog that I normally follow will be spotty at best, as will posting.
I do want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have followed my A – Z adventure. The idea had come to me to do a Blogging A – Z Bonus Round 0 – 9 but I think it will keep until next year, Lord willing. A special thanks to Pendantry over at Wibble Blog for helping me find a simple solution to my issue with posting links. The theme I have installed does not, by default, color links, and I have had to manually color them. He told me of a site that had the CSS I needed to add. I’ve got some tweaking of the colors I want to do but the links should look like links now.

Aww a bear. Yes adorable exhausting children🤗🥰
It kind of is my symbol. I don’t know why, though. I’m never grumpy or growly…much…
Aw, man. Mine is 17 months. He never wants to walk! He ran so fast today, he scuffed his little head on the sidewalk. Definitely adorable, but good luck!
Ouchie. Poor baby. They do go and go.
You do have your hands full. So sorry to hear that part of the reason is a death in the extended family.
Yeah, it’s tragic. But we try to help where we can. If everybody does a little it’ll turn into a big help.
BUMPAW!
I really love it.
I bet you make a great Bumpaw!
I hope so. Time will tell, I guess, but the two teenage grandchildren still talk to me so there’s hope, lol.
Haha, that’s a good sign.
Love Bumpaw! Your forever name!
I like it, too. I don’t correct him, either so it may stick.
Happy babysitting. LOL. Children are delightful and exhausting. Tweaking the CSS and HTML is exhausting too. I did it once, wasting hours, and didn’t get anywhere. LOL. Good luck with all your WP adventures and family gatherings.
Lol. Thank you. I’m not going to spend a lot of time on the tweaking.
Oh dear. Lord have mercy on the poor young man and God help his widow and children.
You’ll have your hands full, Herb! Good luck.
Good luck Bumpaw Sorry for your news, God Bless and we’ll see you on the flip-side. Don’t forget to Lauggh! Scientifically It’s really very important

Laugh because… Why not??
Laughing helps a lot of things for sure.
I don’t envy you, Herb. Those little guys have too much energy! I am now following your blog so I can see how the grandfathering goes.
It’s an adventure.
I think anyone’s lucky to be in your family. I hope the week goes well for all concerned. I’m sorry to hear about the young father dying. It’s a sad time for so many. Do take care.
Thanks so much.
Look at the bright side: the little bundles of energy will keep Bumpaw young. Tired, but young.
Very true on both counts.
