Herb’s blog, Herbdate 22098-669:
We get a few hailstorms a year. This one was more of a biggie with golf ball sized hail. On the Eastern Plains they have been known to have softball sized. This may be my “Throw-It-Back Thursday” entry, except throwing it back isn’t really an option. People are bruised and sometimes more seriously injured if they are caught out in it. We just had our roof replaced in 2016 after one of those. We will probably have the insurance guy come out and take a look, though, just in case.

Ouch. I would definitely recommend throwing it back.
It would be nice.

We don’t really get hail where I live but I’ve seen it a few times at my grandmother’s house!
Yeah, it’s something to see. Kind of freaky in a way.
Those are some impressive hailstones.
Oh my word! I have never seen anything like that.
That’s gotta be scary!
You don’t want to be outside for too long, that’s for sure.
My blog now has a friends corner. Obviously you’re in it. https://erraticengineeress.blog/friends-corner/
Awww…Thank you. I take that asa great honor.
Thank you! That’s really nice. I appreciate the shout-out.
Canadian prairies – we know what you mean about hail! I hope the roof’s okay.
We think it’s okay. I bet you guys get it bad up there.
Insurance companies regularly seed the clouds so that helps. However, certain neighbourhoods in the north end of the city this summer were demolished by a hail storm.
Yeah, hail is no joke, that’s for sure.
Amazing!
It gets intense.
Hmm
Hmmm? What hmmm?
I still remember the hailstorm I experienced there. I mean, there may have been many when I lived there, but I was only outside for one. Well, waiting under an awning.
Yeah, it’s kind of awe-inspiring.
Ouch Please tell you weren’t hit by that!! I rarely see anything larger than a pea
Stay well and laugh
Thanks. We stayed under the shelter of the porch, but it does get to be something.
