The First Ever “Blog Every Day Using Nothing But Memes, Jokes, and Cartoons Challenge”

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23856 – 1295

Dear Fan Base, Base Fans, Friends, Fiends, Foes, Followers, and Flowers,

Here’s the Haps:

So the biggest rule is that there are no rules. Not really. I mean, my goal is to have fun, post some jokes, memes, and cartoons, nothing too heavy or serious, and stretch out in a very busy month. When I do a meme dump, I generally try to make it a baker’s dozen; with cartoons, it kind of depends. Jokes are variable, but as regular readers will be aware (some might say painfully aware), I almost always try to rewrite them “in my own hand.” One exception I will probably make is for June 14th, Flag Day. I may only do one post about the U.S. flag, although…

If you decide to play along, I’d love it if you’d leave me a comment with a link, and I will try to make mention of you the next day. Of course, that would mean that WordPress would have to work correctly for a whole month, but that’s another post entirely.

Some people may not understand why my personality needs to keep this streak going, but others will get it; just look over my blogging history and the clues are there. When I am posting regularly, even if some of it is junk, I tend to also post higher quality along with it. I think it’s probably a law of averages. The more milk there is in the bucket, the better the chance for more cream.
