My Dear and Beloved Fans, Friends, Fiends, foes, Foundlings, Excellent Esoteric Eccentrics, and just plain Folks,
Greetings, Salutations, and Hi There.
Here’s the haps:
As you may or may not be aware I enjoy deadlines. As Douglas Adams said, “I love the whooshing sound they make as they go by.” It helps me keep on track when I have a goal, or a deadline, or a challenge. Like the A to Z challenge. One day per letter of the alphabet with Sundays off. I enjoy doing the Nice on the ‘Net Saturday segments so much I think I will just schedule those for Sundays, temporarily, instead.
This year is going to be something new for me. Not only have I become aware of it a couple of weeks before it starts, this time I am going to give it a theme. Of sorts. Issababycreates did a theme reveal on March 15 and she is going to share a craft a day. In a conversation in her comments section she encouraged me to do the same(announce a theme, not necessarily a craft a day. That would be Mrs. Herb.). After some thought, I have decided to do just that. Now, I have not signed up on the “official” website for it but I never really have before either.
This year, starting on April 1, I am going to write about places I’d like to visit sometime. Or that I have visited and want to re-visit. I am not making my guidelines too stringent for myself. This is a kind of loose guideline and I’m not sure it’s even going to be what you would call a bucket list. Besides, I already have one of those.

That sounds like a good goal, Herb. I look forward to reading the posts. Happy spring!!
Thanks! You too!
I hope Pluto makes the list.
When I was, I think, about 12, I wrote a story about the Plutonian Peace Police Patrol who went around the solar system doing good deeds. Then I read Have Spacesuit Will Travel which has an alien base on Pluto.
And yes, it’s the PLANET Pluto.
The Plutonian Peace Police Patrol has a much nicer ring to it.
It does. Some time I may consider scanning in my drawings of spaceships from then. Probably not soon, though.
I like that idea.
Yay! I can’t wait to read about all the places.
Thank you so much. I appreciate the encouragement.
But how many buckets do you need?…
Well, it depends, really. On the farm we used a different bucket for slopping the hogs than we did for milking the cows, so there’s two. The one behind Grandma’s door is three. The one I use to carry a tune in has a hole in it and never works properly.
😂 Think I’d still prefer the singing one to the slopping one…
Good point. Although you’ve never heard me sing.😁
😂
I’ve always imagined Glen Campbell…
Maybe more like John Wayne.
Did he have a singing bucket?
Well, I was speaking kind of tongue in cheek, remembering his spoken word pieces done in his signature gravelly voice but a quick search shows that they tried to make him a “singing cowboy” in the 1930s which I didn’t know. I can harmonize with someone who has a strong voice reasonably well but on my own…not so much.
I’m afraid that my voice plays kind of fast and free with what the composer intended
😂 But at least you can play the guitar to cover it up.
You haven’t heard me play guitar!
🤣🤣True. What town do you live in, if I may ask. I might want to include it in my next month’s places I’d like to visit. If you don’t want to put it out my email is herbthiel@gmail.com
I’ll be checking on you Herb.
Thank you. Hold my feet to the fire, too, please.
kwel Can’t wait 🤣😎🙃 Don’t forget Balderdash, Ohio
poppycock!
Ohh so you’ve been there 🤣😎🙃
😂
That’s an interesting idea. I would have trouble getting beyond ice cream shops and bakeries.
Oh, man! That’s a great angle.
Hmm, the places I like to visit. The list must be very long indeed. Most people just go to the tourist spots since it is easy that way. Probably this is why travel vlog is so popular since those people really go to great length to go to different places.
I like to read about people’s adventures in other places.
Uuu, I look forward to seeing the places you’ll pick to add to my travel list.
lol. I hope I don’t disappoint.
I’m sure you won’t, the world is huge, so there are sure to be places I don’t know about yet
Finally checking out your posts!
