Here’s the haps:
I wanted to do an easy post for today because I don’t have much time. So, I’ve decided it would be a piece of cake to take the easy way out. I mean, it’s almost summertime when the living is easy. It should have been easy come, easy go but it turned out to be easier said than done. I suppose some people, especially my exceptional audience, could do it standing on their head but it turned out to be anything but child’s play for me.
I’ve often wondered what numbskull coined the phrase, “Easy as taking candy from a baby?” You might think there’s nothing to it but there’s no smooth sailing when you try it. You might think it’s nice work if you can get it but toddler bites hurt. It was not a walk in the park and there is nothing mere about child’s play.
And the songwriter who said, “Easy as Sunday Morning” never had to get 4 small children ready for church and an early Sunday School meeting.

Agree with the slice of lemon…it is the easiest…especially for me when life gives me lemons, I always make lemonade or lemony treats! Have a great day ahead Herb.
Thank you!
That was hilarious, Herb. Where DID all those nutty aphorisms (almost) come from???
Thanks. That’s a really good question, isn’t it?
Are you standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona?
Take it easy, buddy!😂
When life gives me lemons, I rejoice and cut them up and eat them! I love lemons!! 😊
Well, but, “Easy as putty, lemon cutty” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Life is interesting
Isn’t it though?
You’re right! It’s difficult taking anything away from a baby. They have a strong grip!
Especially if they aren’t supposed to have it!
Even my five-month-old has a death grip!
😁
Don’t let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy.
I guess we may lose or we may win…
We will never be here again.
You thought this would be a piece of cake, but I think you meant it would be easy as pie. Which, come to think of it, is not far from Sunday morning on the easiness scale. There are a lot of ways to screw up a pie.
I agree, pie is not easy.
