Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22469 – 855:
Here’s the haps:
Once upon a while ago, I’m not sure exactly when, a couple of lads were growing up together in a Greek neighborhood in a large city. These two lads were fast friends. Their names were Euripides and Eumenides. As is often the case they parted ways as they grew older. Euripides went on to become a very rich and famous celebrity while Eumenides took over his aging father’s tailor shop.
Many years went by and one day a limousine pulled up right in front of the tailor shop. A man got out with a pair of torn trousers and entered. The tailor looked up from his work and saw who it was and shouted, “Euripides? Euripides?” To which the man replied, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Eumenides?”

Herb, you have been reading too much of the Dumbest blogger’s blog!
Thank you! Now I just have to throw in a few murders and I’ll be like two of my favorites.
oh dear
Thank you!
Ha Ha. Good one Herb. I was really torn about which brother I liked more until you ripped this one off. Cheers. Allan
lol. Thanks.
Groan! With your permission I would like to borrow this joke for my blog…
You are more than welcome to use it.
At first I thought there must be more to the story. And then I got it. Yeah…
I like that you had to think twice about it. I had considered really fleshing it out the way I have done some in the past but it’s one of those jokes that you have to get the pronunciation right. It was kind of a gamble, but I have, as I have said before, a pretty intelligent readership.
Some of us are…me..hum 🙄🤔🤨
You got it.
As long as you think so.
I think so.
That was supposed to say preening (between brackets) but WP eliminated it. Didn’t know they do that…
I’m really sorry that WP did that. It messes up odd things sometimes. I didn’t see any of it, I’m sorry.
Wow, Herb, your site really does have things locked down. I tried to comment in response, but all I get is ‘Invalid security token.’
And I think I have my settings pretty loose.
Oh my….i must cry
Thank you. It’s very touching and I know you are touched.
Too funny 😂😂😂. I have a son who would love this one.

Laugh It’s something to do do on a lonely day
Thanks for the high praise.
👍👍👍
I have to search and search. And finally get it. That is fun. I wonder if I can use the same philosophy on Asian names, but alas, Asian names are too short for this kind of story.
It might work. I’m not real knowledgeable on Asian names so I don’t have a lot of advice, but I think you could do it.
[…] like to thank fellow ?RandomRaider! Herb, who alerted me today to the fact that the second of the two videos I’d originally included […]
This is a good one, Herb.
Thanks!
This one goes in the Dad Joke hall of f(sh)ame.
Thank you!
Haha this is the first post I’ve read from you and I love it! I let out a little giggle and hit that follow button 😄
Aww…Thank you so much!
