It is a nice feature of WordPress, and, to be fair, most of the other blogging software I have tried, that I can schedule posts in advance. That way I can keep my commitment to posting every day but on some days I can do other stuff as well. This is especially handy on days and times when the computer is not something on your mind. I still have my phone and the WP app will be dinging away to itself because I will have the sound off.
I’ve been thinking about all the things we have seen over the last 40 years. If someone had tried to tell me back then what I would see and experience I wouldn’t have believed it. Sometimes it feels like we’re Jacob and his tribes going down to Egypt, except that isn’t a real good analogy either because God told us to come here and stay. But when you add up all the family and friends we’ve picked up along the way, we might look like some kind of a caravan. But we’d have fun.
On Mother’s Day our Daughter-In-Law gave my wife some Columbines and they just started blooming these last couple of days and they are a beautiful ruby red. I had never seen or heard of a Columbine before but at one of the first Father and Son Campouts our church had in the late eighties or early nineties, I saw one for the first time and was blown away by its beauty. It is the state flower of Colorado and you can learn more about it here.
According to flowermeanings.org:
Red columbine flowers are symbols of love and passion. These flowers are ideal gifts for people we love and those who mean more to us than just friendship. Red columbine flowers are going to send the other person a message of love and affection; no matter how small these flowers might look in comparison to roses for example.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
