E is for Encouragement
Encouragement. Every erudite expounder expects encouragement. Seriously, though, as I continue to go through the archives I find more and more examples of how I used to write at least once a day, no matter what. I have to get back into those habits and since I have lost much of my former audience I have to do like David did
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. I Samuel 30:6
And talk to myself more and more again. I have to tell the stories of things that happened during the day/week/month and I have to make stuff up. I have to do it all again. I have to encourage myself that I can become the story of a guy who hit the bottom of his writing career and rebuilt.
Remember, the good book says, “Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world’s first bionic man. Steve Austin will be that man. Better than he was before. Better… stronger… faster.” Or maybe that was Oscar on The Six Million Dollar Man…
