I don’t really have a weight update on Savannah. Her gain has slowed because the doctor wanted to get her onto a normal formula mix rather than the extra-calorie mix which would have messed up her liver and such. I haven’t lost anything this week, still at 235, but I have had a lot of cheating this week including after the dedication. Isabel’s parents took everyone out to eat at the “Taste of China” all-you-can-eat buffet. That was really nice of them, even though I am not a big fan of Chinese food. Margaret and everybody else like it. I did manage to find some things I liked, however. Steamed rice with beef and green peppers, shrimp, cheese crab wontons, egg rolls, spring rolls, ice cream and fortune cookies. The service was very nice as well. I also discovered that Ben can eat Jello with chopsticks! Is there nothing he can’t do?
That wasn’t the only time I cheated in the last week, either. Pizza. Being, along with Carter, one of the founders of “The Church of The Giant Pizza” it is of course my duty to make sure and take a generous offering from those supplicants which didst order it. This is probably where my downfall came in. According to their website, www.dominos.com, one slice of Domino’s Pepperoni Pizza, 1/8 of a pie, has 305 calories and 12 grams of fat (there are 2 grams . You may not ask how many slices I had but let us say that I probably got my week’s worth of fat by that one sitting. Of course you really should only wash down Pizza with either Coca-Cola or Mountain Dew, and it takes copious amounts of it all together to really give you that sated feeling. C2 is not bad because it contains the miracle of Splenda. Splenda is the only sweetener that has NO aftertaste. It has helped.
There are going to be some pix from the dedication and some pix of our cats. We have 4, one in a strange looking creature called a “Le Perm.” Her fur, even her whiskers, are curly, like someone just gave her a perm, hence the name.
If I am going to get the pix up I will have to go now.
Remember, the Good Book says, “Bodily exercise isn’t worth much.”
